PGConf NYC 2023 is from October 3 - 5, 2023 in New York, NY at Convene on 237 Park Avenue. We're looking for talk submissions for a wide variety of PostgreSQL users, from app developers, DBAs, operations engineers, decision makers, and PostgreSQL contributors. The PGConf NYC 2023 audience ranges from people who are new to PostgreSQL to advanced users. We welcome submissions on introductory topics to advanced concepts, and everything in between!
Some ideas for talks include:
We are focused on talks that are open source oriented. While we do welcome talks where PostgreSQL is used in a managed service or is a commercial fork of the software, please ensure that your content is open source focused. We are looking for talks that deliver practical guidance, not sales pitches. If you aren't sure whether your idea is appropriate for PGConf NYC 2023, please email the program committee.
All selected speakers will get free entry to the conference. We do not in general cover travel and accommodations for speakers, but may be able to do that in limited cases. If you require assistance with funding to be able to attend, please make a note of this in the Submission Notes field.
PGConf NYC 2023 is open to all audiences and ages. All talks are expected to be appropriate for a diverse group. Please see our policies and feel free to contact the organizing committee with any questions.
The first step towards proposal submission is to create (or, for returning speakers, review) your speaker profile here. This system uses the PostgreSQL Community Auth system (the same system used by the PostgreSQL wiki, CommitFest, and pgconf.eu). Log in to the system with your PostgreSQL Community Auth credentials. Please note that while this is the same code, the speaker profiles are not shared between postgresql.eu and postgresql.us.
Once you've created your profile, this page will provide a link to a form where you can submit your talks for PGConf NYC. When the site prompts for a login, use your regular postgresql.org community account. Should you already have your speaker profile, you can go to the talk submission page directly here.
If your talk includes multiple speakers, please list them in the "Additional notes" section of the submission form.
Anyone interested in submitting a talk to PGConf NYC is welcome to email us at contact@pgconf.nyc at any time! We're happy to help with ideas, suggestions, or advice for any stage of the talk-creation process.
